MTDC Resorts Destination Tourist Guide Programme, 2024-25

The MTDC Resorts Destination Tourist GUIDE Programme 2024-25 is designed to
enhance tourist experiences at MTDC destinations. The programme will help skilling and
generate employment opportunities for local youth. This responsible tourism initiative of MTDC
is aimed at contributing towards generation of local pride; conservation of tourist destinations
through responsible practices; promotion of local culture, traditions, cuisine, art, handicraft, local
products, festivals, etc.
Eligibility:

1. Age 21 to 35 years.
2. Candidates should have passed 8th standard or SSC or HSC.
3. Candidates should be fluent in written and spoken English OR Marathi OR Hindi OR any
   other language including foreign languages.
4. 
   Candidate should be a local resident.
   Entitlements
5. MTDC Destination guides will be provided certificate from MTDC and an I-Card after
   successful completion of the MTDC Resorts Guide Training Programme.
6. MTDC will provide handholding support to its resort based tour guides.
   Terms and Conditions:
7. Training duration and location shall be communicated after selection.
8. The programme does not ensure any job after completion.
9. The MTDC resort guide may need to put-in extra work and hours and travel as per
   requirement of work.
10. Verification of documents with respect of educational qualification, Domicile of MTDC
    Resort Destination, age and identity will be done at the time of interview.
11. Selected candidate is required to submit the medical fitness certificate.
12. Police verification of the selected candidate will be done.
13. Candidates will not be provided any honorarium by MTDC.
14. This is only a skilling programme and not an employment.
15. Candidates will have to travel and attend interviews at their own cost.
16. The MTDC guide will not be part of any political movement until he or she is enrolled
    with MTDC.

Selection Process
 In case of large numbers of applications will be communicated separately.
Please Note:
 The selected candidates need to carry the original copy and photocopy of all the mark sheets,
proof of identity, Domicile of their resident destination and other relevant documents at the
interview.
 Candidates eligible for interview will be conveyed the date and time of interview by email
and or calls.
 Travel or any other expenses made towards appearing for the interview shall not be
reimbursed.
